Revenue operations (RevOps)

RevOps consulting that stops revenue leaking between teams

Revenue operations, or RevOps, puts marketing, sales, customer success and finance on one process, one set of data and one view of the pipeline. Most growing businesses already have the tools. The revenue gets lost in the handovers between them, and fixing those handovers is the work.

RevOps is not a department or a piece of software. It is how marketing, sales, service and finance agree to run revenue together, with shared definitions, connected systems and numbers everyone trusts.

What RevOps consulting covers

Process design across the customer lifecycle, CRM and data structure, integrations between your revenue systems, automation of the handovers, and reporting that follows pipeline from first touch to renewal.

Where revenue leaks

Four handovers where revenue goes missing

Revenue rarely disappears in one dramatic failure. It leaks at the points where work passes from one team or system to the next.

01

Marketing to sales

Where it leaks

Leads arrive without context and nobody agrees which ones are ready, so good prospects wait days for a call.

What fixes it

Shared lifecycle stages, lead scoring and an agreed time for follow-up.

02

Sales to delivery

Where it leaks

Deals close, then the details are typed again into onboarding tools, and new customers repeat themselves in week one.

What fixes it

Closed deals that create the onboarding record automatically, with the details already attached.

03

Delivery to customer success

Where it leaks

Renewal and upsell signals sit in support tickets that sales never sees, so churn arrives as a surprise.

What fixes it

Customer health and renewal dates visible to everyone who owns the relationship.

04

Revenue to finance

Where it leaks

Invoices and payments live in a separate system, so pipeline and cash never quite reconcile and the forecast is argued over.

What fixes it

Billing status synced to the CRM, so forecasts and finance start from the same numbers.

What the work includes

The parts of a revenue engine

Most engagements start with a diagnosis, then a project to fix the biggest gaps, with ongoing support available afterwards.

Lifecycle and process design

Agreed definitions for leads, opportunities and customers, and the steps that move them between teams.

CRM and data structure

A data model that matches how you sell, with properties, pipelines and ownership rules people can follow.

Systems integration

Your CRM connected to billing, ERP, support and product tools, so records stay in step without manual exports.

Handover automation

Routing, tasks, alerts and record creation that move work between teams without anyone chasing it.

Reporting and analytics

Dashboards, attribution and forecasts that follow the customer from first touch to renewal, with data from your other systems brought together where you need it.

Adoption and governance

Training, documentation and simple rules that keep the system tidy once the project ends.

Who it is for

For teams that have outgrown informal handovers

RevOps tends to matter most when a business moves from founder-led selling to a sales team, adds a product or a market, or changes CRM. Those are the moments when "we just talk to each other" stops working.

Marketing and sales disagree on what counts as a good lead

Leadership asks for a forecast and gets three different answers

Customer success hears about problems after a renewal is already at risk

How it works

From diagnosis to everyday running

Every engagement starts by finding where revenue actually leaks, before anything is built.

01

Diagnose

Map how leads, deals, customers and data move today, and identify the gaps that cost the most.

02

Design

Agree the definitions, processes and data model each team will work to.

03

Build

Configure the CRM, connect the systems and automate the handovers, testing with real scenarios.

04

Run and refine

Train each team, hand over documentation, and keep improving with managed support if you want it.

Not sure where your biggest leak is? A short consultation is usually enough to find it.

FAQ

RevOps questions

Can't see your question? Ask it on a consultation call.

Ask a question

What is RevOps?

RevOps, short for revenue operations, aligns the people, processes, data and systems behind marketing, sales, customer success and finance, so the business works to one revenue process and one set of numbers.

What does a RevOps consultant do?

A RevOps consultant finds where leads, deals and customer information get lost between teams, then designs and builds the process, data structure, integrations and reporting to fix it. Good RevOps work also leaves your team able to run it.

When does a business need RevOps?

Usually when growth exposes the gaps: the sales team grows beyond the founder, a new product or market adds complexity, a CRM migration is planned, or leadership cannot get a reliable forecast.

Is RevOps the same as sales operations?

No. Sales operations supports the sales team. RevOps covers the whole revenue journey, including marketing, customer success and the finance handover, so improvements in one team do not create problems in another.

Do we need HubSpot to do RevOps?

No. RevOps is a way of working, not a product. HubSpot is the CRM Cybersolve recommends and partners with, and Cybersolve also connects it to platforms such as Salesforce and NetSuite.

Can RevOps support be ongoing?

Yes. Many teams start with a project to fix the biggest gaps, then continue with managed support for new workflows, reports and changes as the business grows.

Can you help with reporting and analytics beyond HubSpot?

Yes. When the numbers you need sit in billing, ERP, product or advertising tools, Cybersolve brings that data together, through integrations or a data pipeline into HubSpot or your analytics tools, so every team reports from the same figures.
